Two monster funk and soul gems from the Perception record label. First up is the almighty Fatbackin' by The Fatback band; this track is written by the late great Mr Weldon Irvine. It includes THE classic bronx-tape, flute-break sample. On the flip is "Matrix" by #TheRealThing, featuring the even later and greater Dizzy Gillespie - God bless their souls - pure #hiphop #jazzfunk vibe, as sampled by #Beatnuts, #Blackmoon, Looppack, back in the roaring 90's.
